Think you can create the eeriest, creepiest, or spookiest artwork we have ever seen?

We are looking for the most creative design possible to put on a t-shirt for our Haunted Library this year. Keep reading to enter, if you dare!

 

Prizes:

• A t-shirt with your printed artwork
• 4 entry tickets to the Haunted Library

Terms & Conditions:

• All ages are welcome to participate in the contest
  • Participants under the age of 18 must have parent or guardian information supplied with entry
• The contest entry must be submitted to youthservices@sscpl.lib.in.us
  • A confirmation email of your submission will be sent during library operating hours
  • Entries must be submitted by August 29, 2026 5:00 PM EST
• Only digital entries will be accepted, no other medium will be considered
• Entries must be in 4 or less colors (ex: white, orange, green, purple) and will be printed on a black shirt
• Entries must have a transparent background
• Acceptable file formats are .PNG or .AI (Adobe Illustrator) only
• Maximum file size is 30mb
• Minimum 300 DPI resolution
• Entries must included the following text: Shelby County Haunted Library Festival 2026
• Multiple entries are allowed
• All artwork must be deemed appropriate for general audiences to view as part of this family event
• Any artwork deemed inappropriate may be disqualified at SCPL's discretion
• All contest entrants must allow for duplication and use of their artwork by SCPL for promotion and publicity purposes
• By submitting a design, participants grant SCPL full ownership of the artwork, including the right to modify the image and/or colors as necessary for printing and use across various formats and promotional items
• Entrants understand that SCPL may use entries for promotion and sale in the future, at SCPL's discretion
• Contest entrants will donate the original artwork to the Shelby County Public Library (SCPL)
• The winning entry will be printed as the shirt image for the 2026 Haunted Library Festival  and will be available for sale before, during, and after the festival
• All proceeds from the shirt sales will go to the Shelby County Friends of the Library
• Winning entrant will receive no extra compensation beyond listed prizes
• Any plagiarism or copying of works by entrants will result in disqualification from the contest and all future contest contests
• Entries created with generative AI (artificial intelligence) tools will be disqualified
