-
Play Area
Youth Services’ renovation brought a bright, up-to-date play and reading area for toddlers to younger elementary children to enjoy experiential play. The colorful stools provide plentiful places to perch for book reading, and the curvy shelves fascinate young minds and naturally draw them to books just for them.
Baby/Toddler Playtime is here, where tiny tots can crawl and cruise.
-
Gaming Room
Step into the Gaming Room to challenge a friend or challenge yourself on our gaming computers!
Nintendo Club meets here the first and third Thursdays of each month.
-
Sound Booth
Sound Room & Gaming Room
Lay down some tracks or sing your heart out with our Sound Room.
Librarians explain how to use the sound board and steps involved to cut a track.
-
Youth Computers
Touchscreen computers filled with educational games, plus the ability to read some books help promote literacy to preschoolers through the library’s AWE computers.
Of course, elementary-age children have access to wi-fi and computers downstairs that only they can use.
Only adults with children present can use the patron computers.
-
Program Room
Youth Services offers many types of enriching and just plain fun programs. From painting and other crafts to board games and book reading, kids of all ages will find something to do.
Most programs take place in this room, whether it’s for teens, tweens, elementary youth, or toddlers.
Check the library’s calendar on the website, the newsletter activity listings, or the Youth Department calendar, which can be picked up at the Youth Services circulation desk.
-
Storytime Room
This space section of the Program Room is reserved for Storytime, where the preschoolers like to spread out, listen to stories, sing songs, and pop bubbles! (See the large jug of bubble soap and fan?)
Storytime takes place Tuesdays at 10 am, Wednesdays at 10:30 am, and Thursdays at 1 pm. Director Dustin reads on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while Assistant Molly reads on Thursdays.

Teens, find the books and movies that you like in one spot.
We've also got comfy seats for you in the Teen Area! It’s a great place to study, read, or hang out.
