A morning to celebrate all things Anne will be held in the Old Streets of Shelby! Children (and adults!) are cordially invited to participate in an Anne of Green Gables party with fellow kindred spirits in conjunction with Shelby County Reads. Join us for an hour of activities and sweet treats. Root beer floats will be served at noon. RSVP Required.

Shelby County Reads is honored to host Robin Benway on Tues., September 17. Robin is the author of Far from the Tree, the 2019 Shelby County Reads’ high school book selection. She will be giving two presentations to high school students (closed to the general public). Take advantage of the opportunity to meet her and get your books signed at a Meet & Greet at Queen’s Cafe and Dining at 6pm. $10 will cover your dinner cost. Space is limited. Please RSVP here.

The Shelby County Reads Writing and Art Contest is back! The theme for Shelby County Reads 2019 is ‘Adoption and Family.’ All ages will respond to the same question: “What makes a family?”  The responses can be an essay, a story or a work of art. Prizes will be awarded to five age groups. View entry form.
