Join us in making paracord bracelets for our troops! Anyone at anytime can make a bracelet and bring it to our Genealogy Department where they are collecting items for Operation Gratitude. A special bracelet-making event will be held for teens on Thurs., July 11 at 5pm.
Meet us on Tuesday, July 23 from 6-8pm as we pack Care Kits for Operation Gratitude with donated items we have collected from our generous community to send in official Care Packages! These gifts of gratitude will be received by new recruits, deployed troops, veterans, and first responders. Bring your friends, family, and neighbors! We’ll meet in the Genealogy & History Dept.’s Indiana Room at the library’s annex, the Carnegie East Wing. You provide the helping hands — we’ll provide finger food!

The 2019 One Stop Shop, Demo and Quilt Show will take place on Saturday, June 15. Join others to celebrate your love for quilting and perhaps learn a thing or two! An Indiana History Book Club meets monthly in the library's Genealogy and History Dept. of the library. A CABINET OF CURIOSITIES FROM THE CIVIL WAR IN INDIANA by Nancy Niblack Baxter will be discussed in April.
The main Shelby County Public Library will be CLOSING EARLY at 3pm on Sat., April 27 so we can get ready for our fundraiser, Night in the Stacks. Facilities will reopen at 9am on Mon., April 29.
