Operation Gratitude Featuring Colton Chapman

ColtonChapman.jpg

FREE CONCERT by Colton Chapman from Noon-1:30pm on Sat., May 25 in the library's plaza as part of Operation Gratitude. Bring your own chairs and be prepared for any weather! Food will be available through the Southwestern FFA.

This all-day event, made possible by the library's Friends of the Library, is the kick-off of a collection drive to benefit Operation Gratitude. The Genealogy & History Dept. will be gathering approved wish list items and handmade gifts until July. Our efforts will culminate in a Care Kit assembly event, after which the kits will be shipped to Operation Gratitude headquarters to be added to official Care Packages for new recruits, deployed troops, and first responders.

Colton Chapman, born and raised in Shelby County, is a newcomer to the country music scene. Self taught, his style resonates with fans of stripped down vocals and humble story telling. His own musical story began with a guitar bought from a pawn shop down the road. After several years of playing with friends for fun, he has realized that music has become a passion to pursue.

Later Event: May 27
