The library will be offering a workshop to help you learn about and care for your sewing machine on Tues., March 19 at 6pm. Susan Weaver will be instructing the course and it will be $5 to attend.
Please bring your sewing machine and owner’s manual if you can (manuals can often be found online). *If possible, please arrive a few minutes early to set up your machine.
1). Proper cleaning and maintenance of the machine
2). Setting thread tension for perfect stitches
3). Proper thread to use for your sewing project
4). Correct needle for the item you are sewing
5). Threading the machine correctly
6). Learn about all of the different stitches your machine may be capable of handling
7). Learn about all of the attachments and what each one is for and how to use them
8). Make sure you are using the correct bobbin and amount of lighting for ease of sewing
