Sewing Workshop: 'Make a Sewing Machine Mat with Pockets'

Craft at the library in Shelbyville! Join Rachel Scudder and Pamela Weakley for a sewing workshop. Rachel will be instructing you on how to make a sewing machine mat with pockets. You should be familiar with your sewing machine and will at least need to be 10 years old to attend. The workshop is FREE but you will need to bring the following supplies. *If possible, please arrive a few minutes early to set up your machine.

SUPPLIES THAT YOU NEED:

  • Sewing Machine (*the library has one sewing machine available for use)

  • 2 Rectangles of Fabric - 22” x 26” (two complimentary fabrics or two of the same fabric)

  • 1 Rectangle of Iron-on Pellon - 21” x 25” (medium or heavy weight)

  • 1 Yard Ribbon (1/4” to 3/4” wide)

  • Usual Sewing Supplies (thread, scissors, etc.)
