Shelbyville Branch
Shelbyville is the main branch for the Shelby County Public Library. Adult and Youth Services share levels, while administration and business offices are here. The section on the right is the original Andrew Carnegie Library from 1903. Construction and upgrades were finished in fall 2022 across the Shelbyville library campus. Staff find great uses for programs in all the brand-new spaces.

Velma Wortman Morristown Branch
Velma Wortman Morristown Branch of the Shelby County Public Library serves a vibrant community with a staff that maximizes their creativity and enthusiasm with programs for all ages from Pre-K story times to a teen hangout space to all-ages craft, game, and film programs to supporting 2 book clubs.

Carnegie East Wing
The library’s Genealogy & History Department resides inside the Carnegie East Wing, simply known as “the Annex.” Inside resides a huge collection of resources for Shelbyville, Shelby County, surrounding counties, Central Indiana, and military records. Our specialized librarians and clerks conduct searches when requested.
The Computer Lab and Friends of the Library Used Book Store are inside the Annex. The Annex also has three meeting rooms available for rent.
