Genealogy Workshop: Cemetery Symbolism with Jeannie R. Regan-Dinius

Join us on the last Wednesday of every month for a Genealogy Workshop! All sessions will be held in the Genealogy Department. They are free of charge and do not require a reservation unless noted otherwise.

  • Wed., August 28: "Cemetery Symbolism": Jeannie R. Regan-Dinius, Director of Special Initiatives for the Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology, will discuss the state of cemeteries in Indiana, the presumed meanings of markings, how pop culture affects stones, and what you need to look at when you walk through a cemetery. The presentation will take place in the Indiana Room of the Genealogy Department.
