Adult Book Discussion Group (Horizon Center)

  • The Horizon Center / Shelby Senior Services 1504 S Harrison St Shelbyville, IN, 46176 United States (map)

Join us for the library's book discussion group at the Horizon Center!

This discussion group meets on the fourth Thursday of most months. At this meeting, we will be discussing BELOW STAIRS: THE CLASSIC KITCHEN MAID'S MEMOIR THAT INSPIRED "UPSTAIRS, DOWNSTAIRS" AND "DOWNTON ABBEY" by Margaret Powell. Books are available by the library's main circulation desk.

Brilliantly evoking the long-vanished world of masters and servants, Margaret Powell’s classic memoir of her time in service is the remarkable true story of an indomitable woman who, though she served in the great houses of England, never stopped aiming high.
