Quilt As You Go Workshop

a Quilt As You Go Workshop

Tues., September 26 
at 6pm

($5 per session due at registration to attend) 

Join Susan Weaver for two quilting workshop sessions. She will be instructing you how to make a scrappy quilt block with the ‘quilt as you go’ method.

You should be familiar with your sewing machine and will at least need to be 10 years old to attend. The cost for each workshop is $5.00 and will need to be pre-paid when signing up for the class at the library’s front desk. A minimum of five students is needed for the class to hold.

  • Sewing machine in good working order plus your manual

  • Basic sewing kit (scissors, seam ripper, ruler, pencil or marking tool, etc.)

  • A walking foot for best results

  • Machine all purpose thread in natural or off white color

  • Scraps of fabric that you want to use - these can be precut 2” wide x 16” long; You can also cut these in class, and bring extra if you would like to swap with others in the class. Other lengths and widths will also be okay.

  • Rotary cutter, mat, and ruler if you have these. The instructor will share a big set.

  • You will be given a kit in class containing the batting and backing fabric for this project.
