Tues., October 25 from 6:30 - 8 p.m.
Johnnie Williams graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1970, became a geologist, and climbed some of the world's greatest mountain ranges in his free time.
Now semi-retired from his dangerous past-time, Johnnie has written a book titled "A Pursuit of Summits" that details his adventures with some of the world's most famous mountain climbers, including Scott Fischer who tragically perished during the infamous Everest expedition of 1996.
Johnnie will offer an informal presentation at the Shelby County Public Library from 6:30 - 8p.m. that will include stories of his adventures as well as many of his own breathtaking photos.
The event will take place in the library's annex, the Carnegie East Wing - Room B. Please sign up at the front desk of the library or call to attend 317-398-7121 ext. 241.
