Shelby County Public Library

Walter Glover
"Enthusiastic young and old audiences have told me they find my adventures and remarks inspiring, and remarkable for a senior citizen retired pastoral care Hoosier from flatland cornfields."

The library is looking forward to hosting Walter Glover for a special book signing on Saturday, February 3 at 2pm (FREE EVENT).

Walter has climbed on five of the Seven Summits, Mount Rainier twice, most of the 500 mile trek across Spain on El Camino (The Way of St. James); and Mount Washington NH in Sept 2016. Last May, he climbed Rainbow Mountain in Peru, South America.

He began climbing at age 59, and will turn 70 in February. Destinations under review for this Spring include: treks / climbs in Patagonia, England, Ireland, and Iceland.

For the last 13 years of his career he was the Pastoral Care Hospital Chaplain for St. Vincent Southern Indiana hospitals and was blessed to raise $135K for hospital clinics in his communities to mitigate youth obesity. His current charitable collaborative partner is Foundation for Youth (FFY) in Columbus, IN.

The presentation will be held in the main library and will be followed by a question and answer session. Books will be for sale.
