We encourage you to read with our community during the thirteenth season of Shelby County Reads. Books will be available at the public and school libraries or purchase a copy locally at Three Sisters Books and Gifts

Books for all age levels are chosen each year and are distributed to Shelby County Schools. We are celebrating Indiana authors and books in conjunction with the state's bicentennial.

About the play:  “M” Spells Murder is a comedic mystery. The high school principal was murdered at the 1975 spelling bee. Now a cold case detective is bringing the classmates back together to the scene of the crime. 

Dinner: The pot roast dinner will include a House Salad with House Dressing, Fried Biscuits with Applebutter, Pot Roast with Homemade Brown Gravy, Baked Potato, Broccoli, and Chocolate Cake for Dessert! Iced Tea or Coffee to drink will also be served. 
Kids, meet Curious George on Shelbyville's Public Square during First Friday on Sept. 1 (5:30pm-8:30pm)! Children and teens can also enter their names to win a copy of one of our Shelby County Reads books. Drawings will be held at 7pm at Three Sisters Books & Gifts (7 Public Square, Shelbyville IN 46176).

Is the book a standalone mystery? Is it part of a series? Was it written in the 21st Century? ...it could be! Miss a clue? Don't worry! Each time a clue is released, you will see all of the ones that have been revealed before it.

If you think that you know what book is our mystery read, you can turn in your guess at any of the following locations until Wed., August 23 (one guess per book title, please):

All correct guesses will be put in a drawing. A winner will be announced at Three Sisters Books and Gifts at 7pm on Fri., Sept. 1.

Our winner will be awarded a $100.00 Gift Card to Three Sisters Books & Gifts! We will also be holding a drawing for copies of our books for younger readers so make sure to bring the whole family to First Friday festivities on Sept. 1.
